Hilton Garden Inn Tirana won’t open until September

Hilton Garden Inn Tirana, the only hotel from Hilton group operating in Albania’s capital remains closed until September.

The pandemic severely damaged the hospitality industry worldwide. Due to this crisis, last Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Tirana closed its doors, more than a year of operation.

Most of the staff was on the payroll for months hoping operations will restart. But the situation did not change. As a result, facing the pressure to repay the investment loan and wages, the company closed the hotel. It will remain closed at least until March 2021, was announced last year. Meanwhile, Monitor magazine says the management and staff are laid off.

But a message on the official website, now says that they will open in September 2021. A search on its reservation system shows availability starting from September 1.

We’re Not Open Right Now. We’re sorry, but as part of local prevention efforts, our hotel is currently closed through September 01, 2021. We are accepting reservations for future travel dates, so please feel free to book one of our many flexible rate options. We look forward to reopening our doors and welcoming you back soon!
