Albania-Kosovo air corridor opens

For the first time since the war, the air corridor between Kosovo and Albania has been opened, thanks to an agreement that was reached on Wednesday June 17, between the Air Navigation Services Agency (ANSA) and Albcontrol.

This will shorten the travel time to and from Prishtina’s airport from different destinations and will also reduce the cost of flights.

Flights from Prishtina will be shortened by 15 minutes, while the carriers will have to pay less for operating them.

Thanks to NATO support, this agreement is considered as a great achievement between Kosovo and Albania for the opening of the air traffic, which will be useful for both countries. Since the war, the only civil aviation air corridor has been that through North Macedonia.
