Albania to repatriate nationals from France, UK, Spain, Romania and Austria

Albania is preparing fresh repatriation flights to bring home its nationals stranded abroad due to the border closures amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Flights from Paris to Tirana are all full, while a second flight from London will be operated.

Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku said that many Albanians are stranded in Spain and a flight from Madrid will be operated next week. Bucharest, the capital of Romania is another city where Albanian nationals have requested to be repatriated, and the minister said a flight from there to Tirana will be operated.

Repatriations from Vienna, Austria will commence on Monday, April 27.
