Albania’s Divjaka-Karavasta National Park welcomes more visitors

The Divjaka-Karavasta National Park in Albania remains a major attraction for visitors. It offers a mix of natural trails, diverse fauna, and unspoiled coastal landscapes.

According to the authorities, the park welcomed about 428,000 visitors from January to October. Of these, 305,620 were local tourists and 117,780 were foreigners. July had the highest number with more than 52,000 visitors.

Tourists come from various European countries like Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Italy. The number of Israeli tourists has also increased this year.

Visitors often take part in activities like birdwatching, kayaking, cycling, and observing endemic plant species.

Local guide Altin Hila explains that Divjaka-Karavasta has all the attractions visitors seek. He added that with stronger marketing and management, it could compete with the country’s top tourist destinations.

The park’s lagoons, sand dunes, green forest, and panoramic viewpoints contribute to its popularity. It is one of Albania’s most visited natural areas. The park combines coastal, nature, and wildlife tourism.

Recently they have been spotted flying between the lagoon and pine trees. This transformation has turned the park into a special ecotourism destination in Albania.
