People take to the garden for the first time, growing their own vegetables for cooking at home as the whole world is in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Any vegetables and herbs from the grocery store will regrow easily in water or in soil, Eat Well Tasmania suggests. You can regrow fresh greens on a window sill indoors, or get a jump start on your herb and vegetable garden by regrowing kitchen scraps.
Netizens were quick to share their experience.
What are you currently harvesting? But more importantly – what delicious food are you cooking with your home-grown goods? Share your experience on the comment section.

It is too early to be able to harvest much yet, but I have planted peas, lettuce, kale, and cabbage in the garden, and our apple trees are in full bloom. Come summer, I love picking fresh vegetables to grill. š
That is awesome. I wish I had a garden. At the moment I just have my balcony.
My aunt has done fun things with small potted plants on her balcony. š
Yes indeed. I (read: my mom) am doing that too. Getting some chilies
Spicy!
I am gonna do some gardening myself now š
Awesome š
Love your photos
Thank you for the support
We just planted and an excited doggo trampled quite a few of our baby plants in record time. One of twelve tomato plants and one of six pepper plants will definitely survive. We plan to try to grow some from kitchen scraps. I’ve already harvested canteloupe seed to plant since I didn’t buy any!
That is a lot of work and great to know about it. Sorry that the doggo did what it did, but damage can be recovered!
Weāve just finished building our first ever veg patch – https://myhomefarm.co.uk/installing-the-gate-on-sloping-land – and weāre excited to get growing, harvesting and eating our produce.
Weāre complete newbies, so weāre reading avariciously to limit silly mistakes in our first season.
Congratulations on the first veg patch. I am sure great produce will come out of it
Thank you. We really hope so. Pests and lack of experience will have to be overcome. Hopefully weāll be OK.
