Tirana International Airport announced that following the situation of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Transavia’s flights from Tirana to Paris and Amsterdam will be suspended.
“Tirana-Paris flights are suspended as of March 21 until April 19, 2020, while Tirana-Amsterdam flights are suspended as of March 23 until April 5,” reads the TIA announcement.
Meanwhile, another air carrier, Lufthansa announced that flights to and from Tirana International Airport as of March 19, are suspended until further notice.
Earlier, Austrian Airlines, from the Lufthansa group and Air Serbia announced the suspension of their operations. Turkey’s Pegasus Airlines also halted flights to and from Tirana. The Albanian government has banned flights to and from Italy, Greece and the UK.
