Wizz Air announced that this summer is increasing weekly flights to three popular destinations from Tirana. They are Rome, Budapest, and Vienna. In summer 2024 Wizz Air will offer over 4.5 million seats on over 50 routes for travelers.
Tirana – Budapest link will be served up to 5 times per week. Vienna will reach daily frequency from mid-July. Rome Fiumicino will be served with 21 return flights per week from Tirana. Overall, Wizz Air will provide over 350 weekly return flights from the Albanian capital in the summer.
By booking their trip for the summer now, passengers can take advantage of Wizz Air’s lowest fares starting from only 14.99 EUR. Tickets are now available on the Wizz Air website and the airline’s mobile application.
Wizz Air’s summer schedule offers flights to a total of over 50 destinations. Flights are on sale to 19 cities in Italy, including Milan, Rome, Venice, Bologna, Naples and Catania, to Abu Dhabi (UAE), Madrid and Barcelona (Spain), Paris, Lyon and Nice (France), Athens (Greece), London (UK), Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne (Germany) and many more. There are several novelties in the summer schedule this year: Wizz Air will connect Tirana with Valencia (Spain) and Leipzig (Germany) for the first time, as well as continue to operate recently launched flights to Bucharest (Romania), Prague (Czech Republic) and Krakow (Warsaw).
Flying football fans from Tirana
Moreover, Wizz Air will operate special flights for Albanian football fans to the European Football Championship matches in Germany. The special shuttles will also take the fans home after the matches. The airline will operate flights to the matches from Tirana on 15, 19 and 24 June. Football fans who would like to support the national team on location can buy their fixed-price tickets at 179 EUR.
Last summer season, nearly 3 million passengers boarded Wizz Air from Albania. Most of them booked their flights well ahead of the trip, with the most popular destinations being Italy, Spain and Germany.
