Albania has become one of the most attractive travel destinations in recent years. Beyond the summer beaches, visitors can explore the country’s natural beauty in winter too. One highlight is the Albanian Alps. Covered in a white blanket of snow, they offer breathtaking landscapes.

The Wanderlust in Albania competition showcases Albania’s beauty through the eyes of travelers and visitors. Photographers and videographers, both amateur and professional, from Albania and 36 other countries, submitted spectacular images and videos revealing the country’s natural, cultural, and historical treasures.
Among them was Bleron Caka’s video, capturing the magic of the Albanian Alps — a destination drawing more and more visitors each year.
With dramatic mountain reliefs, crystal-clear rivers, and deep valleys, the Albanian Alps remain a year-round attraction. They offer lush vegetation and pristine nature — a true gem of Albania.
The peaks seem to touch the sky. Their beauty reflects in the clear waters of rivers like Shala, Valbona, Curraj, Cemi, and Moraca, as well as in glacial lakes such as Peja, Jezerca, Dobërdol, and Sylbica. The region offers both fairy-tale serenity and thrilling adventure. Mountains like Radohima, Hekurave, Arapi, and Shkëlzeni tempt every adventurer to explore further and discover Albania’s wild heart.
