Albania welcomed over 11 million tourists until October 2025

Albania welcomed 11,137,328 foreign visitors from January to October 2025, or 7% more than in the same period in 2024. This was announced by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja

In October 2025 alone, 908,642 visitors were registered. This pace demonstrates the transformation of year-round tourism. The seasonal model is left behind. Albania is affirmed as a sustainable and attractive destination in every season, according to the minister.

Albania’s geographical location favors the development of a year-round tourism industry.

Albania has a long coastline. It offers beaches from north to south. Examples include Velipojë in Shkodra, Shëngjin in Lezha, Durrës, Vlorë, Himara, and Saranda. These beaches are visited by Albanians. Foreign citizens also visit them. They choose Albania as a tourist destination during the summer months.

The country’s historical and cultural heritage offers considerable potential and remains a favorite tourist attraction. Gjirokastra, Berat, Butrint, Kruja, Tirana, Shkodra and so on, are sought-after destinations for historical and cultural tourism.

Also, Albania has numerous rivers, lagoons, and national parks. These features make the country a destination rich in natural beauty. It attracts visitors from all over the world who prefer adventure tourism.
